Delete your RELIC account
You can do this here, without installing the app. You can also do it inside RELIC, under Settings, then Privacy.
What gets deleted
- Your account, your email address and your password.
- Your profile, your picture, your words and your privacy settings.
- Your level, experience, streaks and every progress counter.
- Your location history: every discovery attempt, every claim token and every relic you hid, each of which records where you physically stood and when.
- Your devices and their push notification tokens.
- Your wallet, its whole transaction history, and any unlocked content.
- Your friends, your blocks, your notifications and any data export we still hold for you.
What stays, and why
Three things outlive the account, and none of them names you.
- The journey of any trackable relic you carried. A trackable relic is an object other players are still finding, and its history is the reason it is worth finding: picked up in one place, hidden in another, found again by a stranger. That chain is not only yours. So the places and the dates stay, and you are removed from them: your entries become an anonymous holder with no name, no identifier and nothing linking back to you. Deleting the chain outright would take something from people who did not ask to leave.
- Receipts for anything you bought. We are required to keep accounting records. They no longer point at a person.
- Reports and moderation decisions. A report you filed is evidence about somebody else's conduct, and decisions taken about an account protect other players. If deleting an account erased those, deletion would be a way to escape moderation and to delete other people's protection along with your own account.
How long it takes
The erasure starts the moment you confirm and normally finishes within a few minutes. Backups are overwritten on their own schedule and are never restored to bring an account back.
This cannot be undone. There is no recovery window and no support process that can return your progress afterwards. If you only want to stop playing, uninstalling the app leaves everything where it is.
